People ask me why I can be bothered to have a Twitter account and a blog.

You know, it is a right pain sometimes but when I sit and watch the news or the programmes like Question Time with the tiny little circle of journalists and politcos who think the whole world rotates around their little personas, I reckon social media will change that.

Why are obscure actors on Question Time? I don’t know but it’s not because they represent the people in the country. They have a view and I’m fine with that. I just reckon they are present in numbers out of all proportion to the value they bring to society. How do they gain the huge amount of publicity that peak viewing time grants? I don’t know. Maybe they know the right people.

Watch the politicos try and stop the social media giving power to the the huge number of articulate people out there with views.
